BlissOne MEDIA organizes show in Ishaka

BlissOne MEDIA organized a show for Agatha Kaffoko over the weekend that was a massive success in Ishaka, a town in western Uganda. Also performing were Don Balaam, Capt Emma, Ogaba Okof, and Mutsyo. Also onboard to entertain the locals were The Infinity Dancers.

There was a huge crowd that roared and screamed as the artists performed at Ishaka Homeland Gardens. Agatha Kaffoko came on and performed two jams before leaving the stage for Mutsyo and the other artists, she came back to perform other jams like Nombuzabuza, Totya Sebo and Kundi Show before returning to perform Coming to Life, Mwami Kulikayo and the moster hot Kabekakye. Fans were ecstatic and begged her for encores of Mwami Kulikayo and Kabekakye.

There was a surprise guest artist that the locals loved Philly Jemba Junior, who is a cousin to the late Phiily Bongoley Lutaya. He performed Abukaazi Obutono and another jam before sampling my favourite jam by him titled Ojompeko. This left the fans screaming for more as he didn't finish the great but little known song with very controversial lyrics. Talking of lyrics, Philly Junior Jemba is a very talented songwriter having penned the simple but highly addictive Tindatine, Agatha Kaffoko's Kabekache and Mwami Kulikayo.

At the end of the show we all had drive in a long security escorted convoy from Ishaka to Mbarara as many people had travelled to be able to attend the show.

Sony to unveil dancing music player.

Sony is to unveil a new egg shaped music player called a Rolly which can fit in the palm of a hand. It has a 1GB internal storage capacity wheels, LEDs and flap like speakers.

The device can dance and comes programmed with up to six dance moves including rolling on it's wheels, flapping it's speakers and flashing it's LEDs according to the music. It comes with software that can be used to program new dance moves if you don't like the basic ones. Rolly will also have an online community where users can share their choreography.

Retailing at 350USD, I think it's a little on the high side, considering that it's only 1GB of storage. It can receive music by a Bluetooth connection and will debut on the Japanese market by late September.

Hard drives can survive water, fire....

Hard drives can survive water and fire. There are some engineers that can find recover data from extremely damaged hard drives. It usually depends on the amount of damage caused by the fire or water. Hard drives usually lose data when mechanical parts wear out because they are made of moving parts but they tend to be resilient to external factors because they are sealed and most of the time, water doesn't get through to the drive itself. There are a number of data recovery firms that can help with this.

Data can even be recovered from ipods, cellphones etc...

But why not just back up your data to be on the safe side?

Back To Basics, Great apps for Personal SEO

Mondays always take me back to the beginning. I just never get psyched enough for Monday mornings. After a long weekend, I usually don't want it to end but hey, a brother has got to work.

Well, we are having serious problems with power now that the electricity transmission company in Uganda is doing a massive overhaul of their infrastructure. So, I am not having as much time on my computer as I would like but just manage to write a few lines to keep this going.

I discovered a great site for online identity recently, www.ziki.com I think it can really help especially with personal SEO. In this web 2.0 age, we must keep abreast with what's going on in the ICT world and also all the new technologies, this is really good. It tries to make sure that if you show up in the first few pages of the main search engines if someone searches or your name. Another one that is similar to www.ziki.com id www.claimid.com Ceck them out. I am just setting u my profile so you can try to google "stone atwine" and see how it works.

It's been a crazy week and finally it's come to an end. How glad. I lost a 19 year old cousin on Wednesday night about 11:50PM and burial was today. Sometimes I doubt God's willingness to make us happy. How does someone lose their life at 19????? I totally don't get it and I don't see how God let's things like these happen to people.

Pastor X preaches to me about things like faith and belief but I haven't heard anything new yet and I am frustrated with God and his plans.

Tonight I am going out to do a crazy party so maybe I can briefly forget this s**t and get on with my life. But then again, Is it possible to get over the death of a loved one that quickly. It's a lose lose situation.

I am out for now. Peace.

Just getting to do this for the first time so I am writing only two lines. Hope I will get time to put updates here with time. Don't know if anyone apart from me, will ever read this. Maybe when I start writing some sense some people will. I am off to work at the radio station and will put more about me and my life here later. For now, good day
